‘…He leads me beside quiet waters.’ Psalm 23:2 NIV
I thank God that He is control of all our lives. He’s in front of us clearing the path and showing us the way. When we come to a crossroads in our lives, we don’t need to worry as God will speak to us through His still small voice and instruct us in the way we should go. At the pothole, God will warn us and say, ‘watch your step.’ God will always tell us what we need to know, we just need to listen!
During World War II, Arthur Sulzberger, publisher of the New York Times, found it hard to sleep or rid his mind of fear, until he adopted these simple words from the hymn Lead Kindly Light: ‘I do not ask to see the distant scene; one step is enough for me.’ God has promised that ‘His Word’ is a lamp for our feet, not a crystal ball for the future. God leads us and that’s all the assurance we need for today!
Have a great week,
